What If Iran Annexes Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Armenia? Gas @ $50 A Gallon

by: blues

Tue Jun 29, 2010 at 15:43:29 PM EDT

Looks like the U.S. Military/Mediagarchy Complex is gearing up to attack Iran again. But unlike Afghanistan and Iraq, or even Vietnam, Iran can actually take things away from us. All they have to do is snap up their far-to-the-north neighbours, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Armenia! They would then hold something that is sorely needed by Russia (and NATO)! The Russians would jump for joy!

Iran seems to have the necessary troops, and the Russians would probably be happy to provide other things.

Reports: IAF Landed at Saudi Base, US Troops near Iran Border
The Israeli Air Force recently unloaded military equipment at a Saudi Arabia base, a semi-official Iranian news agency claimed Wednesday, while a large American force has massed in Azerbaijan, which is on the northwest border of Iran.

Both reports follow by less than a week the Pentagon's confirmation that an unusually large American fleet sailed through the Suez Canal Saturday. Several reports stated that an Israeli ship joined the armada.

Israel massing warplanes in the Caucasus now
Israel is massing warplanes in the Caucasus for an attack on Iran, it was revealed yesterday.

Preparations are underway to launch the military attack from Azerbaijan and Georgia, reports our sister paper Akhbar Al Khaleej, quoting military sources.

Israel was, in fact, training pilots in Turkey to launch the strike and was smuggling planes into Georgia using Turkish airspace, they said.

However, Turkey was unaware of Israel's intention of transferring the planes to Georgia, the sources said.

The unexpected crisis between Israel and Turkey following an Israeli commando raid on an aid flotilla bound for Gaza Strip hit Israeli calculations.

Iran is Surrounded by US Troops in 10 Countries
Or rather, The US is surrounded by Iran in 10 countries?

Iran's other backers. -- Recent developments in Iran confirm that China is providing Tehran with critical defense technologies and weapons systems, including some that violate stated Chinese policies aimed at preventing nuclear proliferation.

Help Out The Gulf Coast Oil Refugees!

by: blues

Tue Jun 29, 2010 at 10:12:36 AM EDT

Ad hoc BP-Disaster oil refugee sites are being formed on the Internet now. Some are much better than others. The "HELP GULF EVACUEES" forum is bullshit. It says:

Gulf Coast evacuees need to be self sufficient and able to work or contribute in some fashion to those person(s) who assist them.

But many refugees are going to be seriously sick, or old, or disabled. But these people don't care!

Here is perhaps a better site:

Haven - A meeting place for those affected by the oil disaster and those willing to lend a helping hand.

I am also starting a page on this (soon to be upgraded to independent status) blog, Community Survival.

If you seek refugee assistance or can offer assistance, leave a comment on one of these sites! Of course, the folks who assist and are assisted must know as much as possible about each other before becoming involved!

blues Exclusive! The 13 Senators Who Didn't Support The Gaza Relief Massacre

by: blues

Thu Jun 24, 2010 at 15:15:14 PM EDT

87 U.S. Senators decided to lend their full support to the Gaza Relief Massacre, the Gaza Siege, the Iran War drumbeat, etc:

Here is (some of) their letter to the president:

«United States Senate
Washington, D.C. 20510

President Barack Obama
The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue
Washington, D.C.  20510

Dear Mr. President:

We write to affirm our support for our strategic partnership with Israel, and encourage you to continue to do so before international organizations such as the United Nations.  The United States has traditionally stood with Israel because it is in our national security interest and must continue to do so.

Israel is our strongest ally in the Middle East and a vibrant democracy.  Israel is also a partner to the United States on military and intelligence issues in this critical region.  That is why it is our national interest to support Israel at a moment when Israel faces multiple threats from Hamas in Gaza, Hezbollah in Lebanon, and the current regime in Iran.  Israel's opponents have developed clever diplomatic and tactical ploys to challenge its international standing, whether the effort to isolate Israel at the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty review conference or the recent effort to breach the naval blockade around Gaza.

I compared AIPAC's list of Senators who signed this -

Bingaman, Jeff, D, NM
Bunning, Jim, R, KY
Byrd, Robert C., D, WV
Dodd, Christopher J., D, CT
Gregg, Judd, R, NH

Global Oiling - Phase III. Okay Kids - This Is For Real. Start Fixing The Oil Volcano NOW!

by: blues

Fri Jun 04, 2010 at 01:33:41 AM EDT

First off: The "diamond saw" thing was scientifically absurd. The pipe is very obviously made of some iron alloy, similar to stainless steel. If you ask any hardware store manager, you will know you simply cannot cut steel or any iron alloy with diamond. Diamond crystals are pure carbon, which has an amazingly strong chemical affinity to iron. So you would need to use corundum or something like that. One more big piece of bullshit!

There is really only one way to stop the oil volcano: a nuclear blast. A conventional explosive will just not suffice. People should know that the pressure wave of a subterranean explosion diminishes as the cubed root of the distance. This means that a nuclear blast will have no effect beyond about 1/2 mile. So it will not affect the thousand other riser pipes in the Gulf. If it's within about 1,000 feet, it will crush the 21" steel pipe and stop the flow.

None of the other "solutions" have any chance to be effective at all!

What this really means is we need to begin drilling a hole for a nuclear device about 200 feet from the gushing pipe NOW!

The most difficult aspect of this will be the design of the systems that triggers the device. But this can be worked out. The deeper the detonation, the less radionuclide contamination will be released. So we would want it it to be 2,500 to 15,000 feet deep.

But to do this WE MUST BEGIN DRILLING THE HOLE NOW!

Are we doing this? There is no sign of it. This is well worth protesting about-!!!

Schlumberger Engineers Flee Six Hours Before Oil Rig Explodes

by: blues

Sat May 22, 2010 at 13:52:15 PM EDT

ADropOfRain.net

Story circulating in New Orleans...

BP contracted Schlumberger (SLB) to run the Cement Bond Log (CBL) test that was the final test on the plug that was skipped. The people testifying have been very coy about mentioning this, and you'll see why.

SLB is an extremely highly regarded (and incredibly expensive) service company. They place a high standard on safety and train their workers to shut down unsafe operations.

SLB gets out to the Deepwater Horizon to run the CBL, and they find the well still kicking heavily, which it should not be that late in the operation. SLB orders the "company man" (BP's man on the scene that runs the operation) to dump kill fluid down the well and shut-in the well. The company man refuses. SLB in the very next sentence asks for a helo [helicopter] to take all SLB personel back to shore. The company man says there are no more helo's scheduled for the rest of the week (translation: you're here to do a job, now do it). SLB gets on the horn to shore, calls SLB's corporate HQ, and gets a helo flown out there at SLB's expense and takes all SLB personel to shore.

6 hours later, the platform explodes.

Wikileaks: Something Is Up

by: blues

Wed Mar 24, 2010 at 11:46:58 AM EDT

Very Strange Twitter Feed From Wikileaks

In the last 24 hours, their Twitter feed has contained some worrying content.

   * WikiLeaks to reveal Pentagon murder-coverup at US National Press Club, Apr 5, 9am; contact press-club@sunshinepress.org
   * WikiLeaks is currently under an aggressive US and Icelandic surveillance operation. Following/photographing/filming/detaining
   * If anything happens to us, you know why: it is our Apr 5 film. And you know who is responsible.
   * Two under State Dep diplomatic cover followed our editor from Iceland to http://skup.no on Thursday.
   * One related person was detained for 22 hours. Computer's seized.That's http://www.skup.no
   * We know our possession of the decrypted airstrike video is now being discussed at the highest levels of US command.
   * We have been shown secret photos of our production meetings and been asked specific questions during detention related to the airstrike.
   * We have airline records of the State Dep/CIA tails. Don't think you can get away with it. You cannot. This is WikiLeaks.

All those came out in a rush, then silence for hours. Might just be a timezone thing, with people sleeping, or maybe there's been no news, or maybe everyone with access to the Twitter feed has been detained. I await more information.

Something big is up, it seems.

The STARBASE Conspiracy

by: blues

Tue Feb 09, 2010 at 10:24:50 AM EST

Here are some bare-bones details that I've dug up in my research regarding the STARBASE conspiracy. I stumbled across this conspiracy at the Portland Indymedia site, but it's article "link to article about 'STARBASE' military recruitment in Portland Public School shitstem" gives only a link (the original post was mal-formatted). This link leads to a post at the site PPS [Portland Public Schools] Equity in which an outraged parent decries the STARBASE military recruitment program that hauls "at-risk" (the new euphemism for "poor") "kindergarten through 12th grade" kids off to military bases for enrichment training in science. This program does not haul away "not-at-risk" (rich) kids at schools in wealthy districts for science training and subliminal military recruitment. (The kids at the wealthy districts have their own non-military enrichment programs.) The PPS Equity post is Here. It rambles a bit, but gives the basic facts. But I have turned up even more info, and wow!

Et Tu Laura?

All the pieces seem to be in place:

«The Georgians were to "interfere in the electoral process... with an aim to change the outcome of the elections and disrupt the vote," party member Mykola Azarov told a news conference on Saturday.

«Ukraine's central election body had earlier refused to register over 3,000 observers, sent by Georgia to Sunday's presidential polls, citing the absence of necessary documents. The number of monitors from the Caucasus state exceeded the total number of observers sent by other states and international organizations.

«A source in the Georgian opposition told RIA Novosti the visitors were related to Georgian special services and the military.

«"The vast majority of them are servicemen. Some have identity documents with other names, almost all had undergone special training and have close-combat skills," the source said.

«He said they were to receive bonuses ranging from $20,000 to $32,000.»

Egypt's Hitler Of North Africa

by: blues

Tue Jan 05, 2010 at 03:43:21 AM EST

Egypt, which shares a border with the Gaza Strip, is every bit as responsible for the siege of Gaza, with which it shares a wide border, as is Israel. Mubarak is a fascist dictator, currently serving his fifth term in office (28 years). He is the "leader" of the ruling National Democratic Party.

Egypt has been receiving U.S. foreign aid (since 1979, an average of $2.2 billion per year) and is the third-largest recipient of such funds from the United States following the Iraq war. (Actually, these are "white budget" figures. Israel receives at least $100 billion a year, and fascist Egypt comes in second, at perhaps $25 billion a year.) (You are a rich American, so you have no need of this socialist welfare.)

Gaza has a lot of what Israel and Egypt mostly lack: high quality gas and oil. So...

How does "president" Mubarak treat the peasant children of his glorious "democracy?"

Pro-Government Rallies In Iran - Hundreds Of Thousands Attend

by: blues

Wed Dec 30, 2009 at 12:41:20 PM EST

TEHRAN (Reuters) - Hundreds of thousands of government supporters rallied across Iran on Wednesday, swearing allegiance to the clerical establishment and accusing opposition leaders of causing unrest in the Islamic state.

In Tehran, crowds burned American and British flags, condemning what they said was interference by Washington and London in Iran's internal affairs.

There was no word of any opposition supporters on the streets on Wednesday, despite talk of demonstrations on reformist websites. Foreign media are restricted from moving around to report on such protests, which are illegal.

"Hundreds of thousands!" Wow. These are the disadvantaged and left-behind folks, who the government helps out. The anti-government protesters are upper middle class students and professionals, who long to join the modern world by creating big banks and hedge funds.

Kucinich To Force House Vote On Troop Withdrawal From Afghanistan And Pakistan

by: blues

Thu Dec 10, 2009 at 01:02:04 AM EST

Another message From the Real Left:

Kucinich to force House vote on troop withdrawal from Afghanistan and Pakistan

Cleveland.com

By Sabrina Eaton, The Plain Dealer
December 09, 2009, 2:30PM

Rep. Dennis Kucinich is pushing for a timetable for U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan.WASHINGTON - U.S. Rep. Dennis Kucinich plans to force a House of Representatives vote early next year on whether to withdraw U.S. troops from Afghanistan and Pakistan.

The Cleveland Democrat announced Wednesday that he has begun circulating a letter to colleagues that asks if they'd be willing to co-sponsor his two resolutions to "trigger a timeline for a timely withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan and Pakistan."

Although President Barack Obama has said prior congressional actions permit him to respond militarily to the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, Kucinich says Congress can still revisit the war. He says that the United States should keep trying to bring Osama bin Laden to justice but that pursuing wars throughout the Middle East backfires by inflaming anti-American sentiment.

The White House had no comment on Kucinich's plans.

Kucinich said he was motivated to act by hearing Afghan President Hamid Karzai assert that his country will probably need U.S. financial aid and training for the next 15 to 20 years.

"We shouldn't be there another 15 to 20 months, let alone 15 to 20 years," Kucinich said. "We can't afford the loss of lives. We can't afford the loss of taxpayers' money. We've got to get our priorities straight."

SECRET Anti-Piracy Treaty Turns ISPs Into Pirates

by: blues

Fri Nov 06, 2009 at 11:39:10 AM EST

Here are some links about the latest attempt to subvert the Internet and impose even greater info-inequity. Remember, the Media Crime Syndicate is now pushing for laws to limit free Fair Use excerpts to four words, and prohibit links to their propaganda.

Internet service providers will become liable for transmitting "stolen intellectual property," and will begin blocking websites that the Media Crime Syndicate complains about. No actual legal process will be necessary for this censorship to be imposed. Welcome to The People's Republic of China. AND GET THIS FREE AND CLEAN TEXT ENCRYPTION SOFTWARE NOW:

ClipSecure_V1-2_{Portable}

Links about the secret treaty:

Secret Anti-Piracy Treaty Turns ISPs into Pirates

ACTA is an international agreement that aims to target piracy and counterfeiting globally. The degree of secrecy surrounding the negotiations is astonishing. Many institutions, the press and various individuals have requested that participating countries provide an insight into their plans, but none have succeeded thus far.

While the public is denied access to drafts of the controversial agreement, lawmakers continue to receive input from anti-piracy lobbyists such as the RIAA and MPAA. Today, the 6th round of ACTA negotiations have started in Seoul, South Korea, where representatives from the U.S, the European Union, Canada, Australia and several other countries will discuss the treaty's content.

As happened previously, parts of the document have leaked out to the public and they reveal that the agreement's scope is even more far-reaching than previously expected. The Internet chapter of ACTA has very little to do with counterfeiting, but adopts many of the same policies that anti-piracy lobbyists have been calling for.

Obama Petitioned to Reveal Secret Anti-Piracy Agreement

In fact, KEI [Knowledge Ecology International] suggest that "The only rationale for keeping the proposed ACTA text from the public is to suppress criticism and critical thinking about the norms that are being proposed. It is Orwellian and an insult to our intelligence to claim that the secrecy of the ACTA text has anything to do with national security concerns, as the term is commonly understood."

Former US and International Pirate Party head Andrew Norton went further, suggesting that the secrecy is about the fear of public backlash, saying "It's not a National Security Issue, but a Job Security issue."... "It's fear that once the scope of the corruption these public officials, including President Obama, is known, they will be unelectable for life, and have to actually work for a living, losing all the power and prestige they have."

While the letter was physically sent today, with almost 180 US co-signers and around twenty international ones, including the EFF, Students for Free Culture, Cory Doctorow, Michael Geist, Lawrence Lessig, and Health Action International; there is still time to sign the online portion of the petition.

Federal Judge Rules That Police Can Search Your E-Mail Without Telling You

by: blues

Sat Oct 31, 2009 at 08:45:21 AM EDT

It's horrifying that the USA is now populated by people who just cannot THINK anymore! People seem to really believe that since they are "totally innocent," they have "nothing to hide," so being stalked all the time by the PTB is just fine. (Foolish thinking for sure: Wait till your ill-chosen spouse tells the cops you bashed them, gets a restraining order that forces you out of the house, and steals all your silverware - You are now an official menace to society, and that information will pop up on every cop's computer.) VERY interesting that these thoughtless people tend to be "conservative!"

Here's the reality: INFO-INEQUITY! - A society with inordinate info-inequity suffers a dire form of tyranny. It ends up being a divided society, divided roughly into two classes: those who watch but cannot be watched - and those who are watched but cannot watch. For example, in my state it is illegal to make a tape recording with a concealed recorder - if you are not an "official." If an "official" abuses their authority and causes you harm, and you surreptitiously record that event, you can be arrested if you try to use your recording as evidence! On the other hand, any "official" can secretly record anything you say or do, and it can be published or used as evidence anytime.

Do these "conservatives" who favor info-inequity think they will become the watchers, rather than the watchees? They may be in for a rude surprise. A free and democratic society cannot bear the cost of info-inequity and excessive secrecy.

You can get this nifty freeware program to read this post. It runs in all versions of Windows, but will probably run in Linux Wine, etc:

Almost Zero Point Energy, Almost Free!

by: blues

Mon Oct 12, 2009 at 02:35:46 AM EDT

I have intensively investigated all the new technologies for energy production and storage. They are all riddled with "gotchas." Yet I have found a new one.

Stay tuned. The real new one is boron fusion, producing very few neutrons, but huge electron production!

Combine that with hydrogen peroxide production. High energy electrons equals pure ionization of hydrogen peroxide. You would throw away megatons of oxygen commodity, yet the energy is pure and without any deuterium or tritium contamination. Pure H2O2, with no radioactive by-product. This nearly pure hydrogen peroxide could power our future.

You could power a car on just hydrogen peroxide, which is very energetic, even if no hydrocarbon is expended!

    Stay tuned!

And nobody slap a dumb-ass patent on this! I figured it out first. So it is now public domain!

This is hereby declared an "open source" technology.

The neutrons, which could transform the hydrogen in water into slightly toxic deuterium, or mildly radioactive tritium, can easily be shunted into something like lead or graphite via electrostatic or magnetic deflection. Any residual heavy H2O2 could be removed via gravitic or centrifugal purification. This is right now a public domain concept, which cannot be patented. Too bad for the oligarchs. I'll find some lawyers, if it comes to that.

These incidents involved two separate bloggers, and now a quickly growing growing number of blogs. It's a big long story of hyper-aggressive internet coercion. Read all about it at tonight's Elaine's Blog!!!

Two Emails quoted at Cockeyed.com

I work on the Cash4Gold site. We are trying to clean up their first page of results in Google. Your article: http://www.cockeyed.com/citize... is ranking very well for term "Cash4Gold". The site looks like you may do well from Adsense.

Is there a financial arrangement we can come to that will offset your Adsense income and make it worth your while to take down or at least "de-optimize" it for that phrase? I would be happy to speak more about this on the phone...

Rob,
I work with Cash4Gold on the reputation management. Your article is ranking #3 on their brand term. They would really like to make it worth your while to take it down or make it more positive. If not, maybe a donation to your favorite charity is more to your liking?

Feel free to call me anytime to discuss further.

Far-Flung Peasants Are Compelled To Send Us Barge-Fulls Of Junk

by: blues

Wed Sep 02, 2009 at 00:31:30 AM EDT

The far-flung peasants are compelled to send us barge-fulls of junk because we might slaughter them if they stopped! This is what is called "having an empire."

But the military factor is merely a temporary advantage, soon to be overridden by the resultant contributivity imbalances among the nations. Farming, industry, and its requisite technology, some service functions, and some other functions can support proportionate community contributivity. Economics should be the study of the means to achieve proportionate contributivity. If you are raising 100 cattle, and you need 10,000,000 cattle, you experience deficient contributivity of cattle. If you are raising a billion cattle, but only need a million, you have plethoric contributivity of cattle.

The result of our imperialism has been that certain of our erstwhile colonies have achieved proportionate contributivity, while we have degenerated into a condition of disproportionate contributivity. We have far too many bean counters, psychotherapists, "executives," prisoners, etc, etc, etc. (even prisoners sitting in cells can be contributive if they warn others to stay clear of legal troubles.) Our vast "service industries" are mostly a manifestation of plethoric contributivity. The destruction of our industrial base represents the advent of a form of deficient contributivity. Our current condition of disproportionate contributivity will prove to be catastrophic.

Our deficiency of manufacturing contributivity will surely lead to military impotence. And that would be our downfall.

The reconstitution of an industrial base is not something that can be accomplished by merely allocating money! Mechanical clocks were only developed in the 14th century; rail transport in the 18th century. Industry does not just spring up in the night like a mushroom. Workers must be conditioned and trained. Precise tools must be obtained. A vast array of materials must be gathered from many places. Most importantly, a synergy must arise to support an integrated system of production. This could well take a century to accomplish. Meanwhile, our most unfortunate population has been conditioned to perceive physical labor as menial and base, as "clean handed" service work has come to betoken elevated status. The primary massage has been "go to school so you can work with your brain instead of your back." And our current wretched condition of disproportionate contributivity has been the result!

On its present course, the unfortunate USA is poised to collapse.
