I think all stat counters are mostly useless, unless someone takes the time to figure out unique ip visits from real people and not spider and robots. Of course, most of the traffic to FSZ and Pffugee are robots. Someone might want those two websites to appear more popular than they truly are. Alexa says DFQ2 is getting 100% of its Alexa hits from the USA. You guys are still getting most of your hits from outside the US. It's very fishy.

The spike in any real traffic is usually for specific reasons. Stu got the ball rolling posting about Narco News and its ties to kinder and gentler imperialism. Stu also eventually gets the ball to stop rolling when it turns out he's a jackass.

What goes up must come down. And when it does, that doesn't mean it will rise again. Donkeytale and myself are proven commodities. Blews probably has a bit of entertainment value also, as in watching a car accident.

Vox Humana and supersoling are boring. Doberman Pinche would be more effective at a website with people who can think. Her quick sentence or two posts are wasted. Byron is a known commodity. I'll agree with donkeytale on that one. I may not like what he posts, but I'm sure he brings in some readers. Look at Alex Jones and how many peeople who don't like him still check him out.

Huffington is #1 because it's got it all and is put together on a 10th grade level. Kos is a boring pig who we now know is pro-CIA. We know about the UGOGs. DKos is dead, forever. Sure, it will always have the blue dogs and smarmy fake lefties, pro-Defense or whatever, but it's an ugly looking page, downloads slow, it will never recover.

Democratic Underground has a good look, but it too has exposed itself as a money pit in alliance with Al From DLC type Democrats. People probably go there for links. If you think real election integrity activists believe in it still, those days are over. The 9/11 dungeon has lost its joie de freshness. It's over. It's over for Rense, Flocco, Larouche, Madsen, Dunne, you name it, the shine is off of the apple.

Chris Bowers, that MyDD guy or other soapbloxers, it's kaput.

Now if we are talking small potatoes in big fields, then we are talking myself, donkeytale, even Byron. We are not talking Vox Humana or even maryscott o'connor. Not because of me and Donkeytale, but eventually, others would have come here. But you went the stupid Joo hating Larouchian route. As I wrote earlier, that stuff doesn't cut the mustard anymore. People see right through it. Yeah, Sunstein is an arrogant fock concerning his cognitive infiltration, but you guys never even read his paper. You proved his points. Ahmanejidad or whatever, that guy's a holocaust denier, yet you promoted him. You say there's no proof Huey Long was a corrupt racist. You frontpage FakeLeft, someone who has no skills.

You are absolutely right about me being boring. Half the time I bore myself, I think. Fortunately, this place has never depended on me or others of my "ilk." It depends on people (all people) saying what they think. Which you do. Others do, too... including me. Have you noticed?

If this is a genuine "free speech" site, it might not end up left or right wing. If people stay who have opinions on each side, that would not be boring at all, would it?

What interests me about art in this age is the commdification of it, the academicization of it. My daughters in that milieu, her ex boyfriend a quite accomplished painter, graudates college and is competed for by art skkkools like a bluechip football prospect, accepts a grad scholarship at some art institute that comes with a downtown studio and sustenance in exchange to the rights for several of his works.

Weird.

Blake was had an MBA in art. I looked at his stuff. Boring. Yet popular. The warhol concept wins out, the surface, the celebrity is the art, it cant be redacted from the canvas.

Its fucked up.

100 years from now more people will remember Jeff Blake than Jeremy Blake's art.

I disagree with you about her hotness making them famous famous after death. That story was sick no matter if it had happened to Rosie O'Donnell and Ed Grimley.

Every once in a while I read one of your posts, and it sounds like someone had a favourite class in Sociology. The Duncan story does show how sick Hollywood and American culture is.  

The cult of the personality is winning. I don't understand what's so great about his art either. It's not movies. It's not canvas. I tried watching some at youtube. I don't get it.

I watched Duncan's History of Glamour movie, the one she got acclaims for. I didn't think it was that great. But at least it wasn't stolen. The two of them couldn't just be grateful for leading relatively modest lives. They had to be ultra-rich and famous. When that stalled, the Dick Cheney as Satan- global conspiracy spin was right there for the taking. Yes, the Scientoogists are morons. But those two weren't harassed by them. And disinfo assholes continue to run around as if they haven't been exposed as disinfo. I disagree with yur disagreement: in totality, if Duncan had looked like Rosie O'donnell she would have never drawn enuff attn to get to the point of recognition. No art world connections, no artist BF, no escape from Detroit.

I even read btwn the lines that her supposed great "gaming creation" skillz were really more the work of her co-author, whom she quickly duped and dumped on her way to striking out in Hollywood.

The parts of her blog that I read were entirely mundane, standard issue CT BS that would fit in here quite well. There was a buzz surrounding her because of her looks. Pyrrhiod. She wouldnt have snagged an artist if she looked like Rosie O. Bet onit. Without looks she would have died another unknown suicide in Motor City.

The whole the establishments in Arts, politics, academics, music and lit are all based on personal good looks. Well, maybe not music as much but it helps, obviously and film too, of course.

But unless yur a truly great wrighter or artist, which is to say a complete anomaly, one in a million, then chances are you are "famous" or "published" or "shown" because of looks and personality, cocktail party connections, etc.

You're not credentialed to critique their art. Neither am I. Nonetheless, I still think our opinions are valid to a point.

They had skills. The idea for the video game was someone else's, but it was Theresa that got the thing produced. She also had some video called The History of Glamour. It done good. I watched it. I thought it was stupid. Ok, she was probably overrated. But to say she had no skills is wrong.

I'm saying if she wasn't hot, the story would have been more even or slanted towards the dude. You and I may think his art was stupid, but within the bullshit commodified Art world, he was doing well.

You know, the more I think about it, you're probably more right than wrong. But that was an extra goofy backstory. And who the fuck walks out into the ocean to commit suicide?

I thought Theresa looked extra good with the pony tails, when she was a bit younger. Age was catching up to her, and Hollywood ate her up then spit her out.
