Did I ever tell you that I was supposed to meet Brad in Crawford but couldn't hang around till he got there? Nah, I guess not. But he was a fledgling blog owner and was trying to line up interviews with protesters who made their way out their to support Cindy Sheehan.

I thought it was a big deal at the time but the luster of that blog and a shitload of others that I held in high esteem, initially, has definitely worn off. Why else would I hang out at a place that more or less houses what's considered the dregs of "progressive" blogatappiopica? Because compared to what's offered as serious left leaning blogs, this place and the few similar to it, have more honesty coming from it's members, in general, than a hundred MLW's, BT's, FSZ's and dKos's combined.

It seems pointless. Eventually we're doing it out of habit and cannot even remember why we are so hostile to one another. Ok, maybe we can remember it, but maybe we can leave it in the past.

It's kind of depressing that Brown won over Coakley in Massachusetts. But Massachusetts has changed a bit over the years, since Dukakis had a Jimmy Carter effect on liberals winning elections (mostly governor races).

You'd have liked Cuapano (who ran against Coakley). He came out against the Patriot Act and illegal wars. He probably had some bad stigma, unfair, of being tied in with Somerville type corruption. I think there is something called the Winter Hill gang. Not sure.

Ed Markey is a good rep. Damn, it's bewildering that Ted Kennedy's seat was won by a Republican. I guess people like to buy into the concept of balance. I see it as gridlock, not balance of power.

As for Brad and even guys like Markos, we want to believe they are good leaders. We are pressured to not attack one of our own.

To see what I've been on about Michael Connell, it hasn't just been me, though I guess I've gotten good at getting my shit into search engines. There are some good posts at DU for example by Creeksneakers2 and troubleinwinter. The latter has a blind spot for Andy Stephenson, and that's why she hates me.

It's really not that tough a story to figure out. The problem is, if folks spend a lot of their time following the herd led by Brad, Larisa, Cliff Arnebeck, et al.

There's zero evidence Connell was scared and ready to spill any beans.

Also, it's simply unfortunate that the truth about Brett Kimberlin came out before the net truly took off. It's definitely a fascinating story.

I think if there weren't merit to the stuff I've posted, I would have had my arse sued for libel. There have been a few cases where bloggers have been taken to court, and their identities revealed.

Joe Lauria basically told me that if there was evidence of election fraud, as a freelancer he could do the story. But when the story is an internet enigma, no paper is going to back him to write it up.

Another reporter has asked me to dig up evidence of government sponsored astroturfing. The evidence just isn't there right now. Only a few scattered cases.

But I do think some peculiar things have been uncovered. This guy from Wales named the_last_name_left found a contact address for Mike Rivero at PMC4 LLC.. If you go back in time to the postings put up years ago by the mysterious S. Boyle, he or she was threatened with a lawsuit for saying Rivero was affiliated with them.

PMC4 LLC. can be tied to Dandelion Publishing. That company is in the business of putting out a lot of materials in the conspiracy theory genre.

I'm not saying conspiracy theories aren't always tinfoil. Even Sunstein has acknowledged MK Ultra, Northwoods, and some other shit I can't remember.

The internet has been turned into a cesspool. I agree with you that this is one of the only blogs that doesn't censor. We may get a lot of things wrong. But it still has a lot of potential. While the others, as you have astutely pointed out, are too part and parcel of the sytem to ever be able to make a positive difference. It looks like the only chance we the people have to make a difference is if when we uncover things through the net, that we are able to take action in the "real" world. That takes working with good members of the society in positions of power. Courts, police, journalists, etc.. But if everything is a matrix and controlled by some illuminati so to speak, then we might as well do nothing. I don't believe there is such a global conspiracy, or that even if it exists, they do not have complete control over how the world plays out.

Tell you what. I'm going to ask a favor of you. I'm going to choose one aspect of your work, one manageable part, that I think I can get my head around, and ask you to just stick with that one part of your larger story and help me to understand it better.

I just read this comment, and read it carefully, but again got lost in the complexity of the characters and how they are all intertwined with each other, the way you seem to claim they are. This despite, and don't take this the wrong way, I'm being straight up with you, despite having seemingly read this same thing multiples of times.

I want to know more about Andy Stephenson. Not so much what he did, i.e. election reform, but where he becomes a dark player and how. Can you do this without going off on what always look to me like stream of consciousness tangents? Just get me started with Stephenson and then I can make the next jump to the next player.

As far as a republican in Kennedy's seat goes. Yeah, I'm feeling a residual, reflexive bewilderment. But I understand it as something akin to an ex smoker getting a whiff of someone's cigarette and getting a jones for a smoke. I know it'll kill me and was killing me all along. Better analogy would be the phantom limb that amputees feel. That arm is gone and I'm getting along just fine without it. Even if it still itches once in a while.

On the other hand, democrats have no one but themselves to blame. They have it coming. They've fucked us over so many times now that I struggle to give a fuck about any of them anymore. Either party. They are obstructing our path to a better country and better lives...globally.

I already know the front story on Stephenson. I had just found blogs in general, and BradBlog specifically on November 3rd, 2004. Stephenson was a large part of the narrative regarding election fraud at that time. I know 99 percent of that story already.

I think focusing in on Stephenson is a good idea.

I have no proof that he was paid disinfo. There is plenty of proof, however, that he was in the thick of much crazy internet convolution.

I understand how it can become too much when I make the leap into name-dropping. So perhaps one can try to get a grip on Stephenson's ties to kookiness, and then if they want to, they can easily do the same with other somewhat high-profile bloggers he was connected to.

I won't reinvent the wheel. There is just too much to cover. But I'll give a few links and not just say the man was into some wild stuff without backing it up. I'll try to refrain from making too many comments, so people can decide for themselves.

This link and the one in it will show Andy's relationship to Delmart Vreeland. A strange coincidence or not is that Jeff Wells of Rigorous Intuition, Andy's friend, has also been friends with Vreeland's attorney.

You are an internet veteran, so you probably remember many of the epic rabbit holes. You know of the election integrity one. There was the Jason Leopold thing, just using him as an example. Another one was Jeff Gannon = Johnny Gosch.

The Jeff Gannon thing went far beyond some douchebag Republican chucking up softballs to GW Bush while posing as a real journalist. Both Andy and Jeff Wells were in the forefront of pushing the idea that Jeff Gannon might be Johnny Gosch. Gosch was one of those Adam Walsh type missing children stories, another high-profile one. His mom is Noreen Gosch. I won't jump ahead on you, just saying all this stuff eventually leads into the most convoluted rubbish you could ever imagine, stuff that Andy's friend Jeff Wells continues to peddle, centered around claims of satanic pedophile rings and mk ultra mind control victims and "manchurian candidates" with alter-egos, etc., all being run by government black operations. If you recall the satanic panic, for example the McMartin Preschool witchhunt or we had one here called Fells Acres, this is what I'm talking about.

Eric did post a 4 or 5 page diary at FSZ on "How to Fuck Dogs" - or rather, how to successfully get a dog to fuck. As you astutely observe, FSZ does in fact, delete. When a user is deleted, the content goes too. The same day Eric posted that diary he also posted a video of his son, under a different username. Then Jack got all self righteous and 'thought of the children'...or W  T  F.

He basically did the same thing here, with the simultaneous posting of an (obviously)underaged stripper, and the cuteness that are his sons, in hope that I'd ban him, like Jack did. You can see he was salivating for this type of troll street cred all over the place.

Then someone 'slandered' him on Youtube and now the links don't work to his 'film'(or the supposed 'slander'). He says it was me because...well...he can.

God I must be severely bored.

I've asked him for proof of libel. Slander is to do with speech not the written word.

You kind of don't want to be posting things like that, especially when he is not hiding behind anonymous usernames. Though at DFQ2 he seems to say he is not pursuing this, that you have won. If he ever did sue you, and your defense is he wrote some four or five page diary at FSZ, you appear to have no proof of allegations that can be tied to a real name.

I don't care if I hate you and like him. If he's in the wrong here, and you're in the right, I support you in this case.

As far as how he or anyone chooses to identify themselves on the internet goes, all users assume the risks relative to how they behave. Anyone worried about their reputation probably shouldn't post that kind of shit under their own names. People who interact with them aren't required to adjust the content of their responses to such people because they choose to identify themselves...freely.

the reason that comment I made got recced is because other people DID remember what I was talking about. There were a lot of people around for it. Surely given your own experiences, you can understand the fallout from content deletion.

And actually I have no idea whther or not he was Donkeytail. I think that was actually a noom-ist of some sort. Eric's offending socks at FSZ have been deleted. You'd have had to be there to know what I'm talking about(I thought you were, around that time? But anyway). My point was, that I'm rather good at detecting patterns, and Eric was doing the same thing here that he did at FSZ before Jack deleted him, perhaps to see if I would also delete him. It's all a game to some people socrates, really. And I'm not one of those people, believe it or not.

If you say he wrote that, I have no reason to disbelieve it. It's unfortunate not to be able to read so us newbies can decide for ourselves, but that's the way it goes. I mean, in the back of my mind, I'm thinking it might have been taken out of context. Though anyone writing up anything on bestiality is headed down the wrong path, unless it is an academic approach.

I agree that those who do not cloak themselves in anonymity do not get a free pass. A reporter told me, it isn't libel if it's true. Malice is also very difficult to prove. Mistakes do happen, and if no malice was involved, then shit happens. Good people will retract mistakes.

That's why I never bought that it was a big deal that DFQ misidentified Flaw the first time around.

Eric backing off and saying he isn't pursuing this and Laura won is a sign, imho, that you guys aren't making this up.

I hate when things are deleted, because unless it broke some actual rule or law, there's no need to delete, ever, period.

I think Donkeytail is a mystery. I agree it sounded like either Stet or Noom. I don't think it was DFQ. But it might have been.

The guy they turned into Bottles, that I am fairly certain was MBNYC. He wrote the same exact things that MBNYC did at a few places on the net, making fun of his weight, saying he'd never make it in politics because of his blogging. If I ever hear that MBNYC is trying to make it into politics, I will definitely drop some dimes.

I'm willing to concede you are a sincere person. I may not agree with a lot of your politics and ideas, etc., but unlike how it has been written by others, I do not think everyone is a paid fake. In fact, the longer I continue to blog, the less I believe are the numbers of paid fakes with sock puppets. I do think they tend to become concentrated at times and for specific topics and domains.

I will give you kudos for responding to a few of my emails when rules were broken which hurt me. You did protect me according to the few rules in place here. So for that, I do have a bit of trust in your ability to admin here. I do think you should show less favoritism in frontpaging, but that is a minor issue in relation to enforcing those few rules objectively.

Maybe you are correct that Sid's Buddy is trying to get you to ban him in a way that Jack has done, that is, not because any of the few rules were broken. I didn't see that video he posted. Was that a provable underage person? If so, then he should be banned. If not, then you are doing the right thing by not banning him. MattyJack is a whole other can of tomato sauce. He had a lot of gall to ban me. I didn't break any rule. Ok, you guys have nice nights. No need to hate each other despite having had so many contentious differences. Oh yeah, almost forgot, I showed up after the New Year 2009, maybe around February. I could figure it out. It was after I had my run in with MajorFlaw and Larisa at DKos. Number5 turned me onto DFQ and FSZ. He had stuck up for me by fixing the tags that Alexandrovna and others had vandalised. Funny thing about Larisa. More than once she requested that my DKos diaries be deleted. That to me is a sign that I hit a bullseye on that. I can forgive some people for not giving me the benefit of the doubt when I got to FSZ. I mean, she's been around for years, and I've been some anonymous blogger dealing with chemtrails and astroturfing. Ces la vie. Whatever that means.

I seem to recall (4.00 / 1)

that the diary was mostly a cut and paste job from another source about the subject, so it's probably more accurate to say that he posted such a diary than that he wrote one.  Also, when he first started posting at PFF, he was effusive with manure imagery (as though to test the limits of a free speech zone).

but the content he was posting had nothing to do with the point I was making. Socrates and Eric were the only ones were accusing me of 'libel'. All I was saying was that he has exhibited this 'pattern' before. No one's EVER said he WAS an actual pedophile/zoophiliac. Like I said, it's all a game to some people with a certain amount of extra 'playtime' on their hands.

chasing that "Stupid Asshole" dude, after SA said some pretty insensitive shit to him in a diary about his friend, who had committed suicide? Doesn't really matter.

I don't even care about the content of the stuff he posts. But if someone is going to level a charge of libel, they (he, soc, whoever) should think about the way they've linked back to their own real personal info and name through their posts and histories.

I don't give a damn what anyone posts, so long as it's within the tiny rules set.
