Kill the Buddha!!! The Bad Trip of the Unreal World

Stu Piddy, in one of his many moments of lucidity, made a remark on FSZ (h/t Socrates for the cut/paste) as startling in its wisdom as it was prophetic:

I believe the world is not real. And neither are most of the people in it. History is all lies and he who controls the past controls the present and the past is all lies and therefore so is the present.

We are in the midst of 1984...it's just not like it was imagined to be.

It's all very unreal. It's interesting though....but it's getting and is going to get much worse.

Stu's remark was very much in line with the Buddhist conception of reality/illusion, in fact.

donkeytale :: Kill the Buddha!!! The Bad Trip of the Unreal World
The overarching futility of the Whiteysphere, whether "Leftist" "Rightest" or "Centrist" all, stems from the simple fact that the unreality of the world can not be combatted successfully simply by introducing a different unreality to replace the one to which we object.

Until we become enlightened, ie perceive the truth, in a skillfully compassionate manner (h/t Lambert), the world is doomed to its ongoing, yet highly entertaining, bad acid trip.

The warriours against the secular west are not seeking enlightenment by killing innocent civilians any more than the "activist sympathisers" of those warriours are seeking enlightenment. The western warriours fighting against those warriours who kill innocent civilians in the attempt to incite more war in order to kill the warriours of the secular west are not seeking enlightenment.

Whether you label either side of this battle terrorists, warriours, killers, or murderers, the label itslef is not the issue. The reliance on labels merely enslaves us, and assures that we will remain tangled in our illusions of futility.

The spokesman for the nihilist who bombed the CIA base stated quite clearly through a contaminated interpretative source (h/t Rev):

On Wednesday, the operational leader of Al Qaeda in Afghanistan issued a statement praising the work of the suicide bomber, Humam Khalil Abu-Mulal al-Balawi, and said that the Khost bombing, which also killed a Jordanian intelligence operative, was revenge for the killings of a number of top militant leaders in C.I.A. drone attacks.

"He detonated his fine, astonishing and well-designed explosive device, which was unseen by the eyes of those who do not believe in the hereafter," said the statement from the Qaeda leader, Mustafa Abu al-Yazid, which was translated by the SITE Intelligence Group an Israeli woman who says she found it on the internet.
--NYTimes 1/7/2009

This is not a defense of the CIA, the US, NATO  or any of the secular west. The price people pay for going to war is that they may die.

The price we all pay for the ongoing bad acid trip of the unreal world is that we, too, shall die in futility.

These warriours against the secular west wish to kill you too, "Lefty," regardless of your vocal or tacit support for them. They are killing innocent civilians, too. Muslims have persecuted and killed other Muslims for centuries. The killing has increased during modern times. Christians, Jews, and atheists too have persecuted and killed other Christians, Jews, atheists and muslims for centuries. The killing has increased in modern times. It is now become a daily occurrence as the secular west and the warriours against the secular west do battle.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/201...

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/201...

Hindus and Buddhists. Ditto.

All are unreal, lacking the truth, the essence.

Simply because we are safe at home doesn't make the warriours against the secular west who kill innocent civilians any more real than the CIA agents/US troops who kill innocent civilians while seeking to kill the warriours who seek to kill the "unbelievers" of the secular west.

The salvation of the world has absolutely nothing to do with temporal morality, or right versus wrong. These values, which we have learned from our religious traditions, are also illusory, the product of an unreal world.

Buddha taught the pure truth in its essence: that the millions upon millions of causal factors which led to the world as we "know" it are in fact, unknowable. Thus, the world as we "know" it is also unknowable. The existence or non-existence of God, or a hereafter are unknowable and irrelevant.

Kill the illusion! Kill the Buddha!

i just saw this while eating my soup and sandwich ( and listening to youngesters freak out on the weather because they dont remember 1992)

Is Israel Controlling Phony Terror News?

Veterans Today | January 5, 2010

Who says Al Qaeda takes credit for a bombing? Rita Katz. Who gets us bin Laden tapes? Rita Katz. Who gets us prettymuch all information telling us Muslims are bad? Rita Katz? Rita Katz is the Director of Site Intelligence, primary source for intelligence used by news services, Homeland Security, the FBI and CIA. What is her qualification? She served in the Israeli Defense Force. She has a college degree and most investigative journalists believe the Mossad "helps" her with her information. We find no evidence of any qualification whatsoever of any kind. A bartender has more intelligence gathering experience.

Nobody verifies her claims. SITE says Al Qaeda did it, it hits the papers. SITE says Israel didn't do it, that hits the papers too. What does SITE really do? They check the internet for "information," almost invariably information that Israel wants reported and it is sold as news, seen on American TV, reported in our papers and passed around the internet almost as though it were actually true. Amazing.

Do we know if the information reported comes from a teenager in Seattle or a terror cell in Jakarta? No, of course not, we don't have a clue. Can you imagine buying information on Islamic terrorism from an Israeli whose father was executed as a spy by Arabs?

It is quite likely that everything you think you know about terror attacks such as the one in Detroit or whether Osama bin Laden is alive or dead comes from Rita Katz. Does she make it all up? We don't know, nobody knows, nobody checks, they simply buy it, print it, say it comes from Site Intelligence and simply forget to tell us that this is not only a highly biased organization but also an extremely amateur one also.

Is any of this her fault, Ritas? No. She is herself, selling her work. The blame is not Site Intelligence, it is the people who pass on the information under misleading circumstances.

Imagine if a paper carried a story like this:

Reports that Al Qaeda was responsible for bombing the mosque and train station were given to us by an Israeli woman who says she found it on the internet.

what noom would say

Yes, the sources are all contaminated...nice catch Rev and correction duly noted (0.00 / 0)
in the block quote above.

Bad weather eh? Hard freeze coming to NE Texas tonight, but clear and windy.

Old Dtale song lyric, circa 1978, goes:

I love bad weather
The worser the better

Rain Snow clouds darken
An empty sky

Reveal the madness
In God's design

I love bad weather
And being alive

There will disasters
Man is not the master

Ignorant, ignorant bastards
Going nowhere better and faster

I love bad weather
And being alive

Good to see you around posting. Everything going well enough for you these daze?

Wonderin about you, too, Vox (4.00 / 1)
Bin Lurken thru the intrablog terrorist warz, have ya?

[:o)

Oh well, the sun always shines again, sooner or later.

[ Parent ]
A little lurkin' but mainly shirkin'. (4.00 / 1)
Mostly I've been away. I know you know how it goes. Eric S and I were talking about it at MLW. I coined a term for it for online: e-nnui. Sometimes it really is just blah blah blog.

[ Parent ]
Well, you havent missed much.... (5.00 / 1)
e-nnui is an excelent word.

Eric S. is an excelent dude.

You three.

Did you see that the legal establishment which created the framework for modern capital punishment in the US has now shifted it stance, saying basically that the system for the deliverance of legalized death is hopelessly corrupted beyond repair?

Setting the stage for reform, I guess....problem is there may not be 60 votes in teh Senate by the time Webb gets his bill to the committees.

http://reason.com/blog/2010/01...

Also, I'm proud to say I have rallied three very conservative Texas business colleagues to look into the 2004 Willingham execution (by forcing them to read the recent New Yorker article which is linked in the link below) and one of them has already donated to the Innocence Project while all three have contacted their state legislators expressing their displeasure with the ongoing travesties of justice in Texas....

http://www.innocenceproject.or...

I urge everyone to get involved in the fight to reform our heinously flawed, biased and racist criminal justice system. When you present the dramatic evidence of injustice being done in this state and this country, even most hard bitten conservatives (most of whom, in truth, are pretty decent human beings, in fact)are willing to have their minds changed...

This is something we can do something about, we should do something about and as "leftists" we must take action...more to come in dairy format once the HC reform battles end...

[ Parent ]
Sincere congratulations (4.00 / 1)
on your action. That's great news. I look forward to your diary, because I have to admit the task seems so monumental I can't imagine where and how any "layperson" could begin, besides writing for clemency when it is really way too late.

Count me in for action if I can, though. You are right about how important this issue is. Education and the "justice" system lie at the heart of most of the inequity in our country.

[ Parent ]
And as you have pointed out previously, (4.00 / 1)
the two inequities are tied together....

[ Parent ]
Indeed. (4.00 / 1)
By-the-by, I don't know if you read MLW much these days, but Eric S asked me to ask if you might stop by his diary there when you get a chance.

It feels odd being a blogging emissary of sorts, but there it is.

[ Parent ]
eye thawt it was all aboot (3.00 / 1)
the caysh?

it's snot?

[ Parent ]
it aint' about the cash you dimwit (4.00 / 1)
itz about the curriculoom, and the pupilz self esteem and their desire to learn and the attitude of teacherz who all soock nonetheless, and it's about eveyone not having a cerebellem equal in capacity to einsteins ginormous jello like mass. trook drives and laborers and cubicle dwellers make da masses ya fake, like fair harried dude

it taint not da cyash you fraud.

if only da fookin schools were betta da world woode change.

not one iota eye says.

[ Parent ]
eye reject that notion (4.00 / 1)
evree bowdee has an innate goodeness, a goody-two shoozness that the schools aren't debeloping. if ownlee the schools had more money and a rah rah "we can do it attitude" and ib ownlee pupilz gave da shit about any oof it then we mite see soom change... oontill then noot mooch.

eef ownlee the schools could kill the innate individuality of every pupil we might see soom god damn proogress. lets foond da schoolz wit mo caysh sose they can kill the indibuality of everyboody mo effectively!

is that your goal vox!?!

[ Parent ]
wail (4.00 / 1)
ya made a goode pernt there fakey. funding the schools will only lead to more conformity. more cranking out of cogs 4 the great invisible, visi-bile all consuming life sooking machine!

eye say defund the schools, thereby defanging them of their power to defang! indibiduals from their innate indibuality!

down with x=school! vox propagandizes for the state. heez a paid shill for da man. vox is paid to blog to try to pursuade the shiteysphere that schoolz need mo money!

vox is a paid cointelpro yo!

[ Parent ]
oh shite (5.00 / 1)
you've boosted vox yo!

vox works 4 Brett Kimberlin or wtf. cointelpro indeed!

holey shite!

[ Parent ]
You're funny. (3.00 / 1)
I'm not sure where I was talking about funding or self-esteem, though I'm willing to be shown wrong. It wouldn't be what I meant to say, that's for sure! Those really aren't where the problems lie in general (though most inner-city schools and small rural ones do in fact need better funding).

Schools do need more individualized instruction. And they certainly need more respect of and preparation for vocational trades for those who have talent for them.

Your concerns remind me of the noom's. As I recall, he is no fan of schools either. I always wondered why....

[ Parent ]
how do yoo mean foony? (4.00 / 2)
like eye amuze you? like eye'm your personal clown? how do yoo mean foony vox?

[ Parent ]
I mean, (4.00 / 1)
foony iz as foony duz. how do yoo mean foony?

See? I'm foony 2. It's just that usually I'm not trying to be. At least I know it, though.

I'm still curious about this anti-school sentiment I read from so many who have a noom to their name, though. I think that's interesting.

[ Parent ]
vox, u r clearly (4.00 / 1)
cointelpro.

the shiteysphere iz fool oop wid it yo!

[ Parent ]
So I hear.... (4.00 / 1)
We all harbor our personal illusions, don't we?

One would have to be as wise as - well... somebody to try to sort it all out. I know I don't have the patience. I just talk to whoever will talk to me. Sometimes I learn something and sometimes it's just fun. And then other times... well, nobody has to blog, do they? I've been thinking about that a lot lately.

[ Parent ]
vox (4.00 / 2)

but the fakes are kinda growing on me too....

Does that make me a b'eyefooksual?

[;o0

[ Parent ]
Ain't it da troof? (4.00 / 1)
It seems from my reading back here a bit and having seen a bit of the beginning before taking a break that we now have here a "noom," a "pff noom," "fake noom" and "da real fake noom." Any others?

At this point I don't know what would be more disappointing: to find some were in fact noom or to learn that none were. It sure is interesting! I guess I'll stick to my policy of treating each poster/post on her/his/its own merits and let things go where they will.

Whee!

[ Parent ]
I know which one's real...but I aint tellin the troof.... (4.00 / 1)

[ Parent ]
I would expect no less. (4.00 / 1)
And that's what I love about the whiteysphere!

[ Parent ]
This is what I think about the noombots (0.00 / 0)
Fake Noom is obviously a fake noom. Laurajohn changed the original noom to fake noom after the real noom at MLW complained. A new noom was registered that same day. But then that person didn't post until very recently, months after signing up, and he's not really noom either. I haven't thought too much about pff noom. I'd have to study his posts. Da real fake noom sounds like the real noom to me. It'd be nice if donkeytale knows for sure, if he'd share his opinion on that. Donkeytale had a lot of give and take with noom at MLW. If anyone has a good idea who the real noom is, it would be him or the lovely and talented Frau Tale. Of course the real noom could be a good jake and simply prove who he is here by posting the evidence through MLW. The real noom, however, seems to have disappeared from Mary Scotty's Place. Anywtf, raisin bagels with cream cheese for all. Or as Capt. Luc Picard used to say, Number 1, I must go number 2.

There's Noom Noom.

There's Noom Noom Noom.

And finally, there's Noom Noom Noom Noom.

We may have three or four of the better Nooms here already.
