Since pffugee is the last bastion of intellectuals on das Internet, I thought I'd "share."

Admitting to self-googling my stage name I came across this drop-dead hilarious article examining Llorens of Aravia's GBCWs at dk.

It's something of a chore to read, but at least try the first 2 paragraphs, then go to, say, the 14th page.

I do have some questions. I do not remember TomJ. And I am thinking that the author must have also been a poster, else why would he know about my back and forth with Armando? The article was written in 2010. It covers incidents in 2006. I was banned in 2007.

FYI, you are late to the party as usual.

I had a diary deleted Troll Wars 7.77 1 1/2 weeks ago which Socrates fished out of the trash bin and reposted at DFQ2.

Never got word about why it was deleted but think because I criticised a headline diariest there by the name of TBOGG.

If you scroll through the comments on the diaries you linked from there you will see a comment by someone named BMWF noting that my diary was deleted, also calling out TBOGG as a crappy diairest. I termed him "juvenile".

My Fascist Defense League is yet another kool-aid drinkers website, a flipside of the Tea Party, just wholly ineffective in advancing acoherent agenda (unlike the Tea Party).

The fact that the "in crowd" are mainly supporting and pimping non-leftist third parties (IE, the bourgeois Greens and GOP plant Rocky Anderson) makes it all the more laffable.

Overall, FDL has some nice people but extremely neurotic site in general. Very strange moderating but they dont seem eager to ban like at DKOS and they dont allow all that Mojo bullcrap.

Fairleft, please ! When you use aa word, use it within the mainstream meaning of the word. "I've no idea why you are using what is e4ssentially a prefix to describe an idea, namely "meta". The definiton of which you can find here.

I'm not just singling you out BTW, it seems to happen a lot amongst firedogs/pups/baggers , whatever. Let's all not imitate Bill Clinton.

I tried to joke around with him about his typos, but he got offended and defensive. Anyway, I'm entertained by these RL sorts at MyFDL, it's good practice dealing with them.

One thing I find interesting about FDL is how uninteresting it is. Looking at the pictures of people you can see clearly what I mean when I say "Whiteysphere."

I mean, you have to concede the obvious to make any headway with people. Real slow over there and, yeah, he's probably very old like you said.

I sometimes feel like I'm talking to whitey versions of Jessica Sanchez (American Idol) fans, those stalker types under her youtube videos. I mean, the judges were biased, made things hard on her, and I'm a HUGE fan, but concede she missed a note here or there, people! It's as if they have no sense at all that how they represent themselves, hopefully as reasonable, common-sense, generous people, affects how people (that they're trying to persuade) feel about their cause. But maybe bonding with the like-minded is the real goal and not persuasion or 'victory'.

Her Pinoy fanbase was so obnoxiously self-righteous that's probably why she lost to PhilipX2, just sayin'. No, wrong, he's a white boy with guitar and had votefortheworst.com behind him.

I can honestly say that I have never watched a second of American Idol (0.00 / 0)
well, except for one night several years ago when I was at a Korean gathering with my wife. Since the adults were chattering away in Korean (or wtf they call it) I sauntered into the living room and hung out with the teenagers, who were intently watching.

I recall it was the year of Ruben Studdard and Clay Aikens.

Since then, I usually hear whomever wins only after they've won and thats merely at random. Most seem to be very talented, but for me there is very talented and there is professionally talented.

To date, only Carrie Underwood of all the winners reaches that talent level for me.

Generally, it seems the talent levels have declined precipitously. For instance, both Studdard and Aiken were very good. Better than the current year's crop?

but she's not there yet (but she's only 16). Phillips is embarrassing, a tired imitation of that frat band guy, Dave Matthews. As are so many on the show. It's one karaoke imitation after another. But I heard about Sanchez and checked out her videos, the studio and not the live versions. She has quality diva potential, if you like divas.

Which is another thing, not hardly anybody does. The diva era is very 1990s. It's a musically conservative show aross the board, outtadate country, old fashioned boy bandism, and so on, but heck, I like a quality diva, especially a beautiful Asian one.

Our family watched it as a family for a couple of years, but then dropped off. But just as a cultural window, we usually end up watching the last couple of rounds each year.

The extended family back for a reunion.  And talking to one another, even!

The snap peas have been good this year, but with bugs from time to time.  I haven't ever had bugs in the Sugar Snaps before.  Does that mean something?  I wonder....

Now with the heat, the tomatoes are finally taking off.  And, as hope springs (or summers) eternal, I have planted okra among my other recent plantings.

Yes, yes, I know... some disdain gardening posts as being irrelevant to politics.  Myself, I appreciate the locovore and slow-food movements.  Some people might say that they are contributors to the slowing of global warming.  Not that that is political, either.

I made an attempt at planting sunflowers recently on a mission to deliver something beautiful back into the world as an offering or trade for the recovery of someone close to me from an awful medical disaster.

Unfortunately the bugs and rabbits chewed them up almost as quickly as they sprouted. I managed to save a few in pots and am now down to one, sturdy plant :o) This one survivor however, seems to have been accepted as it was offered, as the person who it was intended for is doing better, and I notice fat, smiling bunnies tripping around my yard lately :o)

How important it is to give a small part of life to something when we wish to have power over so much more!  At whatever level we create, we plant rather than uproot.

Both have their places, of course.  Still, I prefer planting... and you will pardon me, but I think you have, too.  The bunny lives deserve recognition, too, of course.  But I have hope for the seeds that might come for the next generation, and I thank you for their care.

Sorry for the mild melancholy, which I think you detect better than anyone, having it so strongly yourself.  It's where I am right now.

I hope you are doing well and also hope that you will grace us with your insights for a while, even while acknowledging how hard that can be when real life stares us in the face!
